The Clicker Game Blueprint

Before writing a single line of code, plan your architecture. A good blueprint saves hours of rewrites.

We're building a complete Clicker Game. Here's what it will have:

๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ Click a button โ†’ earn coins ๐Ÿ“ˆ Auto-clickers that earn coins over time ๐Ÿช Upgrade shop (better click value, auto-click speed) ๐Ÿ’พ Data saved between sessions ๐ŸŽจ Polished UI with animations

FOLDER STRUCTURE
  • ServerScriptService/

โ”œโ”€โ”€ GameService (main server logic) โ””โ”€โ”€ DataService (DataStore)

  • ReplicatedStorage/

โ”œโ”€โ”€ Events/ (RemoteEvents) โ””โ”€โ”€ Modules/ (shared logic)

  • StarterPlayerScripts/

โ””โ”€โ”€ UIController (client UI)

  • StarterGui/

โ””โ”€โ”€ MainGui

This architecture separates concerns cleanly. Let's build it.

1-- Step 1: Run this in Command Bar to create the folder structure
2local SS = game:GetService('ServerScriptService')
3local RS = game:GetService('ReplicatedStorage')
4
5local events = Instance.new('Folder', RS)
6events.Name = 'Events'
7
8local modules = Instance.new('Folder', RS)
9modules.Name = 'Modules'
10
11-- Create RemoteEvents
12for _, name in ipairs({'ClickButton', 'BuyUpgrade', 'SyncData'}) do
13 local e = Instance.new('RemoteEvent', events)
14 e.Name = name
15end
16
17print('Folder structure created!')
